SketchUp (formerly: Google Sketchup) is a 3D modeling computer program for applications such as architectural, interior design, civil and mechanical engineering, film, and video game design. The free version (SketchUp Make) is already on all district computers. It’s free so you can try it at home too! You can build models from scratch, or you can download what you need.

Self-paced tutorials are SketchUp files designed to give interactive training to help you develop your SketchUp skills. To go through these tutorials, first refer to the table below and then click on these links, one at a time, in order:

1. Click the Tutorial Link below you wish to use. Select Open.

2. You will now see the Google SketchUp startup window. First click on the small triangle next to the word Template. This will expand the list of templates.

3. Now that the templates area is expanded, double click on the "Simple Template - Feet and Inches." Click Start using SketchUp.

4. The tutorials are all interactive. Read and follow the instructions.
